Coastal Fishing
Featuring the "After Hours" trip, 6:00 to 10:00 p.m.
Take advantage of fishing when the big fish are more active. This trip is geared for the those people who can't get out during the day, for whatever reason. Whether it's the pursuit for fish or photo opportunities, now you have a guide that will stay out after the sun goes down. Start the evening by jigging for bait, casting flies, throwing plugs or simply by watching the day wind down. View the sunset of Old Orchard Beach and Camp Ellis from off shore. Evenings are a great time to be on the water and Saco Bay offers action both with schoolies and 26-30" fish, while also revealing some 30-40" fish. The river starts to heat up in May and runs through until September. Blue fish are also abundant during the summer months of mid June until late August. Watch the whole lobster trapping process as we pull a few a traps and then re-bait them. Check out views of Wood Island Light House and the ship wreck on the north shore.
Inland Fishing?
Yes, that too is offered for the early morning person or the evening trip as well
Mousam, and surrounding lakes (Square Pond, Wilson Lake, Great East Lake and Horne Pond) offer fishing for a variety of species. Trout and Salmon are common catches throughout the year but primarily in May and June. The Bass fishing gets hot and heavy during the summer months and Mousam is on the tournament trail so it sees its fair share of bass baits. For the kids, perch and crappie are daily catches in the coves and weedy areas. The state record Brown Trout (22lbs) was caught at neighboring Square Pond. Trolling bait and or lures can prove successful on all of these waters.
