Traditions Guide Service

Rabbit Hunting:

Your hounds or mine, this is a great way to introduce someone to the outdoors. Spend a day in the woods, listen to the hounds, and test your skills on snowshoes. Day hunts offered in both Southern Maine as well as the western mountains of Rangeley.  In Rangeley, snowmobiles are used to get off the beaten path. The hounds will work hard to make your day a memorable one. We hunt morning and afternoon with a break for a cookout lunch.

2006-07 season: Oct-1 thru Mar-31 Limit 4 per day/ 8 possession.

For lodging accommodations contact 0ne of these establishments,

Pleasant Street Inn Bed and Breakfast , Rangeley Town and Lake Motel.

A testimonial from a rabbit hunt of 3/06

We were really quite naive about  Snowshoe Hare hunting, having never done
it before. All we can say is that we were extremely happy that we came
across Traditions Guide Services. Troy Fields, in our opinion, runs his
service the way a guide service should be run. He is lightning fast to
respond to all inquiries and questions. Upon finally meeting him in person,
we found him as affable as he is hard working. His knowledge of the Northern
woods of Maine and his team of equally hard working Beagles provided an
excellent and enjoyable adventure that we will remember for years to come.
Actually, my brother and I are planning to do a Snowshoe Hare hunt every
March from now on. Traditions Guide Service is aptly named. It is because of
Traditions Guide Service that my brother and I have discovered our own new
tradition to look forward to. Many thanks to Troy, Mike, Abby, Mandy & Cody!
